Running with the Wolves is the debut extended play by AURORA. It was released on May 4, 2015 in digital/streaming formats.[1][2] A vinyl version followed on July 27, 2015.[3]
Background[]
After releasing her third single "Under Stars", Aurora began to work on more music, which would be her debut EP. The lead single, "Runaway", was released on February 9, and was streamed over a million times in 6 weeks on Spotify.[4], gaining her more attention worldwide and on social media. On February 29, a music video for the song was released. Afterward, the next and final single, "Running with the Wolves", was released to accelerate the post-release of the EP. The record contained two other songs, "Little Boy in the Grass" and "In Boxes". A music video for "Running with the Wolves" was released in June.
In early 2016, the follow-up project of the EP was announced. This would be her first studio album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend. Prior to the release, two other singles were released, "Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)" and "Half the World Away", the latter being a cover of the British rock band Oasis for the 2015's John Lewis Christmas advert.

The vinyl version of the EP includes two extra songs, the previously stand-alone AURORA singles "Under Stars" and "Awakening", the latter presented in an alternative version.

Trivia[]
- The vinyl version of the EP features a different version of "Awakening" than its digital single release.[7]
- Aurora is credited as producer on "Little Boy in the Grass" on the vinyl, but not so on the digital release of the EP.
- All of the songs on the EP have had their TV mixes leak, except "Runaway".
